My friend Wayne gave me a fiberglass nose pod that he got with his quicksilver but never used. I made a cardboard model to help me fit it to my hopper. After I was happy with the fit I cut the pod to shape and painted it black.
It is quite a bit smaller than the "Phantom" pod I frequently see on other hoppers. But, I think it is a good compromise between visibility and wind deflection.
